Because we do not like the symptoms of a fever, hot sweaty and so on. Likewise, we are aiding the body’s own immune system by taking something to reduce the symptoms, thereby making it easier for us to get up and get on with life. The fever will continue, but the symptoms, that hot, sweaty, pouring water, dripping everywhere, are controlled. Best of Luck

Fever is NOT the body fighting off infection rather it’s the “result” of the body fighting off the infection. Any fever is a sign that the body is defending itself, however we can only withstand a really high fever,
(104) for a very short time before it starts damaging the body. That’s why we use fever reducers.

Because too high a fever can be very harmful. The body isn’t perfect, and sometimes in trying to fix itself, it hurts itself. Fevers that are too high can cause seizures and boil the brain.

From MayoClinic.com:
A fever isn’t an illness itself, but it’s usually a sign that something out of the ordinary is going on in your body. Fevers aren’t necessarily bad. In fact, fevers seem to play a key role in helping your body fight off a number of infections.

If you’re an adult, a fever may be uncomfortable, but it usually isn’t dangerous unless it measures 103 F or higher. For very young children and infants, however, even slightly elevated temperatures may indicate a serious infection.

I agree.. Pills ruin our natural immune system. People are programmed to be pill poppers..
