cold
susieq asked:

Just recently- as of this year- i started to become extremely insensitive to the cold, no matter if its warm or cold outside or how many layers i wear. Its like a chilling to the bone kind of feeling and i sometimes start to shake really bad. My mom believes it may have something with my thyroid, since that is one of the symptoms. What could it possibly be and/or how can i treat it?

You really want to get your thyroid checked. If that is fine then ask the doctor about any circulation problems. If those all come back clear then its just something you will have to deal w/.

i would get a physical and have all my blood work checked. If you are very thin then fatten up a bit. If you are anemic that can cause you to stay chilled. Take care of your self and most of all listen to your body. If it doesn’t feel right then chances are it is not right. Do not; however be afraid. I don’t think its too serious. You might only need a little iron. Cook and or fry your foods from an iron skillet.

If it’s only in your hands and feet don’t leave that detail out when you see the Doctor as it could be Renaud’s Phenomena. Another bothersome but not too serious condition. Stay warm, keep an extra set of dry clothes in your trunk in the winter and don’t worry.

I have a big problem with being cold also . I could be one of many things or a combination of different things. I have hypothyroidism and mild anemia but it could also be poor circulation. I would go to the doctor and have yourself checked out and have blood work done. Good Luck

Many thyroid symptom sufferers have ultimately achieved some release from their status thru a mixture of self-study and trial-error! There are definitely some recognised conditions which lead to the dysfunction of the thyroid gland.

The Catholic Church uses salt in cleaning rituals. I lost one or two pounds and had more energy.
