Please list products you use or methods you take to cure your cold/flu. I caught a VERY nasty flu and have tried many over the counter products. I am taking Airborne…now what?

Tylenol cold and flu is the best I’ve tried…it takes away all the symptoms immediately. It won’t ‘cure’ the flu, but nothing can. Tylenol will allow you to move on with your day and you’ll feel healthy.

Zycam is very good. It comes in various forms. I also take echinacea.

For a cold, take airbourne right away (OTC) and for flu Oscillococcinum, a homeopathic flu remedy. I also tend to think the zinc lozenges do help.

my advice, which seems to work for me is a few things-> a good multivitamin is always good-helps kick it a little quicker i think. theraflu works pretty well but tastes awful. overall i’d say tea with honey is really the best-keeps you warm and keeps your throat from getting too sore..

Hot tea and a nice warm steamy shower can help cleaer up congestion.

At the first sign of a cold I put perioxide in my ears and leave it there for about 5 minutes in each air. I read on an alternative medicine website that it helps to kill any germs that are in your ears. I do this 2-3 times for the first day or two of a cold. It’s also good for getting rid of ear wax.

I currently have a virus and using a hot air humidifier has helped. I also am taking lots of vitamin C & zinc and drinking lots of water to thin out the nasal secretions.

If you are congested at night, you can try a nasal spray to help you sleep. I hope you feel better soon. This is day 7 of my cold and this is the first day I have hardly any congestion.

I mix orange juice with brandy, then heat it up and drink. Makes me float on air and gets rid of my cold faster than normal

Anti-Bacterial hand gel like there is no tomorrow, it cuts my illness down by days.

hot water add a slice of lemon, slice of ginger(optional) and honey and/or brown sugar.

hot water/ steam clears nose. warm honey soothes throat, lemon contains vit c to boost immunity.

honey, ginger and lemon are all natural antiseptic/antibacterial/antivirals and help to ease the symptoms.

drink several cups aday to help keep on top of your illness

another is to eat a clove of garlic!!!! not sure on that one though.

If you are in the first 24 hours of your first flu symptoms, I recommend Sambucol. It is a natural antiviral and is available at health-food stores. It will help reduce your symptoms quickly and shorten the length of your illness.
