fever
{InsertWittyNameHere} asked:

Most of the times when we get fever, we suffer from these extremely severe bodyaches (especially near the joints)? I’m interested to know the scientific reason behind this phenomenon. Can some doctor please explain in layman’s terms? Thanks in advance.

Fever which is elevated internal body temperature (38 degrees C or 99.4 degrees F) Various body metabolic processes are dependent on the temperature among other many factors. Muscle protein are in a constant state of building up (anabolic) and breaking down (catabolic). Fever accelerates catabolism which causes the muscle pain and bodyaches.
