flu
JustCurious asked:

I am 5.5 weeks pregnant, and my company is giving out free flu shots. Is it recommended for me to get the shot now?

I was told that a flu shot is a must if ur pg during flu season. I just got 1 on Halloween. It made me a lil sluggish and sore for about 2days. I’m not sure about getting one that early, I heard that you should be in ur 2nd trimester. Ask ur Dr to be sure.

get the shot. its recommended that pregnant women and kids between the ages of 6mos-2yo get the shot. if u get the flu right now it could b very dangerous and the side-effects of the flu shot are worth it.

i’m surprised more women weren’t answering ur question. its a good one that we should all b interested in

My doctor said that is was a wise thing to do and she highly recommended it, so I got a flu shot last week (I’m 17 weeks pregnant now.) However, I have heard that some doctor’s do not like you to get a flu shot in the first trimester, so I would highly recommend asking your doctor before getting one. When you are pregnant you can’t really do anything or take anything before asking your doctor. If you don’t have one yet, call your regular physician and they will be able to give you an idea of what you should do. Good luck :)
