fever
S.E. asked:

I was wondering what kind of effects a very high fever (were talking like 101 or higher and persistent) can have on a 13 or 14 year old female.
Are there short term effects? What about long term?
Just a note, this is a question based on a fictional 13-14 year old girl that I am writing about. So no one is in serious danger or anything.

It really depends, if you cannot get the fever to break you need to see the doctor

High fever can have devastating effects on ANY age… but a younger person…. fevers can cause brain damage if not remedied. Among other things… dehyrdation is another problem

well as long as you don’t go over like a 103 temp then you should be okay. if it goes over that then you should go to the ER… All a fever is is your body fighting off an infection.
