Oh also… If you dunk your head in cold water and went outside during a chilly day, you could catch a cold, maybe the flu, maybe even pneumonia?

Could someone please clerify the difference in how each are caught?

I can never really tell the difference between the flu and a cold.
The other day I began to have a deep cough which started to make my throat hurt and now today I’m achy and sneezing and feel bad with chest congestion. But I do not have a fever and I am not nauceous as other people tell me happens to them when they get the flu. I feel bad and tired but not weak, or anything. I’ve had the flu for the past 3 days with my fever ranging from 100.5 to 102.5. I think I may have bronchitis. I’m just wondering if the bronchitis would cause the fever or if there may be some secondary infection. Just wondering if I should see a doctor or if I’m just being an alarmist.
