cold
lottie asked:

If a python gets loose, how warm does it have to be for it to be active enough to be a danger to neighbors.
I know they have to have a heated rock to keep warm.
Could cold ( aprox 40deg) weather kill it?

cold
Bob asked:

I know that colds are caused by viruses, but some people still insist that going out in the cold rain (for example) can cause you to get sick. Is there any sort of correlation with cold temperature and getting a cold? For example, do cold viruses live longer in a colder environment, or do is the immune system weaker in cold weather, etc…

One thing that is interesting is that the illness itself is called a “cold”, so originally that must have been what people thought caused it.

cold
green27 asked:

I’m trying to put this question to rest. My mother always is paranoid about my son getting cold or being covered so he doesn’t catch a cold outside in the elements. But then, on the other side of the spectrum, I’ve heard that you can’t catch a cold from ‘cold weather’. They say you catch a cold because in winter you’re indoors more, trapped inside with people circulating Rhino-viruses.

And I’ve also heard that being in the cold weakens your immune system, so you’re more susceptible to catching a cold virus.

So which is it? I’m confused.

Please tell me what your stance on this is. Thank you!

cold
brightorangeysun asked:

I go running at night and after I’ve been running for a while and started to sweat I start to get chilly. Nights right now are pretty cold where I live, but I wear a cotton undershirt and sweatshirt. And the starts of my run don’t make me feel chiilly. Is my cotton undershirt the culprit? Is my sweat making me feel cold in the cold weather? What can I do as a solution?

I know how damaging the sun can be, but what about the cold. I’ve noticed that people who spend lots of time in the cold wind get very “weathered” skin. Anyone know about this? What can be done to stop this damage? Thanks!
