fever
Marion asked:

I feel really feverish. Chills, no appitite, weak, tired. I don’t know if I have a fever though. I don’t have a thermometer, and no one else is home, is there a way to know?
Can I go to my sports practice tomorrow?

Without a thermometer of some kind you can’t know with 100% certainty but from what you describe, I’d say you have an elevated temperature. Whether it’s an actual fever, I couldn’t say.

You feel feverish? Feverish means you feel hot. If you feel feverish, then you may very well have a fever! Use the back of your hand (not your palm) to feel your forehead. If it’s unusually hot, you may have a fever (but you may not…too). The only way you can be sure is to use a thermometer! You should try to find one or get one, because a very high temperature can be dangerous.

BTW, my wife tells me that whenever she has a fever (100+), when she closes her eyelids, her eyes feel hot. Never heard this, but thought it was interesting that she’s always noted this.

Also… in case you weren’t aware, we’re in a major flu season (epidemic) right now in the US. My wife, son, and I just got over 2-wks of it.

They're made to last and utilized for many cold fall and winters.
