cold
lottie asked:

If a python gets loose, how warm does it have to be for it to be active enough to be a danger to neighbors.
I know they have to have a heated rock to keep warm.
Could cold ( aprox 40deg) weather kill it?

The temperature should generally be around 77-85ºF during the day, with a basking area that reaches 90º. The temperature should be cooler at night, 69-75ºF. It is important that you maintain this day/night cycle

hi there
first off heat rocks are BIG no no for any type of reptile
use a heat lamp much safer…
yes.. it could die if it does get out …side in that cold but most likely it’s still in the house … sleeping in a cool dark place may be even in the walls … check around the his cage … along the walls … in closets under cloths under beds … and so on
hope this helps..

With the arriving of the winter season, the requirement for the electric-fires is considerably increased. It needs to have a 13 ampere power supply. They can be found in many designs that would synchronize with the inside of the house.

Always confirm some other person knows where you are.
