cold
Extreme Phenom asked:

I have a cold and sore throat. First I want to know the best wa to get rid of a cold in two days. And second, I want to know if it’s ok to keep my fan on while I sleep even if it is really hot. Could the cold air just make my cold worse?

Hate to tell ya but you can’t get rid of a cold in 2 days. It usually needs at least 5 days to run its course. There is no cure for it. Just make sure you stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

As for the fan, don’t sleep with it blowing directly on you. It will end up drying you out and making your sore throat even worse.

No. Cold air is better. When you have the cold, you have the Rhinovirus. When you have any kind of virus, you want to keep the room you’re in at a lower temperature. The hot air harvests the germs, and it’s a continuous cycle of you having the cold, keeping it, losing it, getting it again. The best breath of air you’ll get is in the cold. If you open the freezer and take a deep breath of that air, it’ll be so much better for you than if you’re standing in a room thats 80 degrees and breathing that in. So by all means, keep the fans on, lower the thermostat. The cold will be better for you.

That’s exactly what happened to me! To prevent colds don’t turn on your fan as much. Drink tea with honey. Also, eat hot foods and no meat. Your very welcome!

Cold does not cause a cold…but it can cause your immunity to decrease.
